My life generally falls into three areas. For the most part, I’m a qualified professional marketer who works in the music sector, with experience in the publishing, orchestral, education and membership worlds within that.
Away from that, however, I conduct music. That’s to say I stand in front of groups of musicians and try to bring everything together so that our performances are truly musical, stylish and exciting. I’m interested in great music, not (just) great composers.
And the third bit of my life? Well, whenever I’m not doing either of the above, I’m an armchair sportsman/amateur baker/converted cat owner who doesn’t like the cold.
What happened to the website for the City of London Symphonic Winds? It does not seem to work anymore and it would be nice to read something about the band, the church where they play, their history, gallery of pictures etc. Saw this band on Sunday and thought they were exceptional – better than professionals, soloists outstanding. But they need to have more publicity to attract more audience. The website worked the other week?
Hi Pete – thanks for the message. I’m told that the site has a hosting issue which is being addressed as we speak.
Really pleased you enjoyed the concert, and of course I agree that they’re a top, top group. Do please come and see us again if you can in May and say hi!
Pete – the website has been restored! http://www.clsw.org.uk/
