Welcome!
David Smith is in high demand on London’s musical scene, having worked with the London Repertoire Orchestra, South Bank Symphony, Sidcup Symphony, Brent Symphony, Camden Chamber Orchestra, London Phoenix Orchestra and Kingston Philharmonia in the last two years, as well as previously serving as Assistant Conductor for two courses with The Rehearsal Orchestra. He is currently Music Director of 4strings and Barnes Concert Band, and Assistant Conductor of Kew Wind Orchestra.
David began conducting at the University of Southampton, working with every instrumental ensemble at the institution, notably as the founding Music Director of the Symphonic Wind Orchestra and Musical Director of the Light Operatic Society.
Work abroad has involved concerts at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw, Poland, and in Italy as part of the International Festival of European Youth Orchestras.
