This family-friendly concert will feature some wonderful and accessible pieces of orchestral music – a great concert for children or those who haven’t heard much classical music before.

Please note this is first and foremost an orchestral concert, and we (humbly!) suggest that children from primary age upwards would have a great time at it! The concert is not designed to be a participative/education event for very young children or babies, though of course all are welcome – please just be prepared for a “normal” concert environment.

Kids, alright, etc.

I attended the third and final Music for Youth Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall last night as a guest of the promoter – as always a wonderful night of varied music-making from a range of really talented young musicians. Superfluous conductors aside (why have two conductors for two groups on the same stage; why ‘conduct’ a small ensemble with a drummer?) the children were simply marvelous and I can’t recommend it enough as an advert for what inspirational music education can do.
